Wedding in the East and West


To marry someone you loved that is a wonderful thing in the world.


Do you know what the differences between wedding in Taiwan and in the United States are.


Most people would like the western wedding, and they are simpler than eastern wedding.


Also the western weddings are romantic and cost less money than eastern ones.


Generally speaking, the wedding in the east and west are different.




The wedding places in Taiwan are different from those in the United States.


The weddings are usually held in the restaurants or at the field in front of their houses.


There are a lot of relatives, friends and colleagues attend the couple’s wedding.


Therefore, there are many tables for people sitting and enjoying the dishes.


On the other hand, the weddings in America that are held on the grass or next to the swimming pools.


The couple’s relatives and friends can get what they like to eat.


The way of eating dishes is buffet.


They get their food and drink freely, and talk with people around the wedding.


In addition, there is a great disparity in the wedding of Taiwanese and Americans.


In Taiwan, the couple should take their glasses with wine table by table to thank for guests compliments and arrivals.


However, in America someone would knock the glass to making noticed of everyone. And, he would say” Give happiness to this couple. Everyone would raise glasses and give congrats to the bride and groom.


The last evident difference between the two countries’ wedding is the way for giving their felicitations as red envelopes and gifts. Taiwanese give the red envelopes depending on how deep their relationships are. If they are very good friends, couple would receive much money or even earrings and rings. On the other hand, if they are only friends do not have deep relationships, the red envelope would less than the real good friends give. Instead, Americans like to give presents to the couple.


The couple would make a list and take it in the department store.


If you want to give gifts to the couple, and you just to “subscribe” one of the gifts on the list.


Although the wedding in Taiwan and America are not similar, both countries have the meanings and traditions for the wedding.


No matter what the way of weddings in Taiwan and America it is great to marry someone you really loved. Before you are getting married to think more which one would you prefer to do.


Actually, I like the western wedding.


It is so romantic and relaxed for the couples to thank guests’ compliments.




這好像是2006年的寫作作業…


昨天上完師訓後，突然想到這篇文章


因為講師的一些話讓我想起了


當初為了寫這個文章，我思考加上找資料花了一星期的時間


但結果也令我感到很滿意…


因為以往我都是憑直覺來寫的，寫的快也都寫的不錯


但這次的準備工作，讓我的文章更有深度，分數也不賴喔！８２分哩！


哈！因為上一個作業才６０多分，從沒在寫作拿下這麼低分


所以刺激到了我…其中很久沒寫也是一個原因


另一個原因是我太過於自信了…


事實證明，還是要多花點心思的…
